The Reformed Congregation of Balatonsz\u00e1rsz\u00f3 in the service of the Lepramis Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many people on the southern shore of Lake Balaton are already familiar with the International Lepramis Mission. In 2015, a series of lectures was launched in response to the great interest, and the third stop was now in Balatonsz\u00e1rsz\u00f3. The process can even be called a mission chain and if the zeal remains, we are confident that there will be a continuation.<\/p>\n

At the invitation of the local pastor of Balatonsz\u00e1rsz\u00f3, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Konc G\u00e1ll, M\u00e1rta Risk\u00f3n\u00e9 Fazekas, the director of Lepramisszio Hungary, gave a presentation with a screening on 15 September 2019. Guests from the surrounding villages also attended the event. The believers and those interested in the occasion gathered in the sunshine. While the women were putting the finishing touches to the charity event, Mrs. K\u00e1roly Szlukovinyi, Aunt Ir\u00e9nke Szlukovinyi, placed the so-called \"Leprosy\" in the church as a decoration. \"leprosy blankets\", with a couple of old fashions. The pastor's greeting and the sermon were also a preparation for the theme of the presentation. Afterwards, a short music school programme followed, prepared by the pastor's wife, teacher Emese Konc-G\u00e1lln\u00e9 Gass.<\/p>\n

Many in the audience had never heard of leprosy, leprosy, or seen pictures.<\/p>\n

\"The created world is eagerly awaiting the appearance of the sons of God..\"(Rom 8, 19) - said the beginning of the presentation. Listening to the presentation, we realized what the word \"longing\" means in this sense. We got a glimpse into the life of leprosy patients, the possibilities of treatment, the history of the mission, the target group of Hungarian donations.<\/p>\n

K\u00e1rolyn\u00e9 Szlukovinyi, who has been the leader of the leprosy mission group of the Balatonf\u00f6ldv\u00e1r sub-region for 26 years, summarized the work of the Somogy County Voluntary Service in a few minutes. Finally, the event ended with a moving recitation by 91-year-old Aunt Gyul\u00e1n\u00e9 Ica Kiss.<\/p>\n

Seeing how much the participants were touched by the photo report, we have good hopes that the lecture series will continue in the coming years - not only on the southern shore of Lake Balaton.<\/p>\n
