Who are we?

A Christian charity founded in Hungary in 1974, which is dedicated to healing the world’s most destitute leprosy sufferers, restoring order to their lives, and restoring their human dignity, whilst striving to uplift themselves, their families and communities, within the framework of the 152-year-old International Leprosy Mission, in obedience to Jesus’ command: ‘… cleanse the lepers!’  (Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 10, Verse 8)

We are proud to be a member of the largest leprosy organisation in the world since 2002, The Leprosy Mission International (www.leprosymission.org), founded in 1874 and currently consisting of 33 member countries, the only one in Eastern Europe so far!
