HU Between 14 and 16 August, a reconstructive surgery campaign was carried out at the Kothara Leprosy Mission Hospital (Maharashtra, India), which we also support, with the professional assistance of Dr D. Vijaykumar. During the campaign, 2 eye operations, 23 hand operations and 2 foot operations were performed, providing lasting help to these patients and their families! The patients came from villages in the surrounding area. For them, the occasion was not only about healing but also an expression of dignity, trust and hope, in keeping with the Leprosy Mission’s creed and daily witness.
