Cyclone Amfan reached the northern basin of the Bay of Bengal yesterday, 20 May 2020. One of our Hungarian project sites, Calcutta, was also affected by the cyclone.
Since 24 March, India, with a population of 1.3 billion, has also been "closed" due to the coronavirus outbreak. It is home to 60% of the world's leprosy patients.
Bangladesh, the world's most densely populated country, is also affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The Lepramissi Union is also doing its part to help.
